Introduction
POLAR is the Public Online Library Access and Retrieval system. It is an online catalog of materials available on ONU's campus and is maintained by both the Heterick Memorial Library and the Taggart Law Library.
POLAR - Library Online Catalog
POLAR includes printed materials, audiovisual materials, and selected electronic resources such as research databases, electronic journals and Internet resources.
POLAR also provides:
- A connection to the OhioLINK Central Catalog
- Information about individual patrons' circulation records
- A listing of materials placed on reserve by faculty members A comments/ suggestions box
OhioLINK is an organization of both public and private colleges and universities in Ohio. It includes community colleges and the State Library of Ohio.
The OhioLINK system provides access to more than 4,500 simultaneous users at 104 locations, serving more than 500,000 students, faculty and staff.
OhioLINK provides:
- Patron borrowing through the OhioLINK central catalog
- Access to numerous citation and full-text databases
- Electronic Journals
- Online printing of selected journal articles from 2 citation databases
